Here’s another leaked phone offering from Cherry Mobile, courtesy of that virally spread promotional brochure we’ve been seeing lately. The Cherry Mobile Flare X2 is the successor to the widely popular Flare X smartphone released more than a year ago.
Unbox earlier took a peak at another, new member of the Flare X series, the 5-inch Flare X Lite. Head over to the review if you’re interested in a smaller, but cheaper phone.
Let’s look under the hood of the new Cherry Mobile Flare X2 and see if it’s worthy of its lineage. Note that we’re basing this off that barely legible promo mat, along with some conservative speculations from various online forums.
Cherry Mobile Flare X2 (Speculated Specs)
- 1.4GHz octa-core processor (likely a Snapdragon 430)
- 4GB RAM
- 5.5-inch FHD IPS display, 1920 x 1080 resolution, Dragontrail Glass
- 32GB expandable storage, via microSD
- 16-megapixel rear camera, phase detection AF, BSI
- 8-megapixel front camera
- Dual SIM
- 4G LTE
- Fingerprint scanner

The Flare X2‘s key specs check out fine and seem fitting for the price range, but we’ll reserve further judgment until we get more info on its actual SoC and battery capacity.
More details to be added once we get official confirmation from Cherry Mobile. Stay tuned for Unbox’s upcoming hands-on review on the Cherry Mobile Flare X2!
