More and more budget handsets are starting to ship with fingerprint scanners embedded in them, and Cherry Mobile isn’t about to get left behind by its competitors. The local brand has officially announced their fingerprint toting J3 handset, promising biometric security at a budget price tag.

The J3 sports a 1.3GHz quad-core processorm along with a 5-inch, HD IPS display with 2.5D curved glass on top. There’s 1GB of RAM on tap, as well as 8GB of expandable storage. The rear camera is an 8-megapixel shooter with AF and LED flash, while the front camera is 5-megapixels. A 1,900mAh battery provides juice, and Android 6.0 rounds out the feature set.
The Flare J3 has a very attractive price tag of just Php 3,699.
