The Cloudfone Excite 402D is a straight-up challenger to the highly successful Cherry Mobile Flare. It sports relatively the same specifications and it has the same SRP as well. The biggest difference is that the Cloudfone Excite 402D comes with Android Jelly Bean 4.1 out of the box.

The bodies of the two devices are also almost identical. The only noticeable difference is that the back covering of the Excite 402D is a little better since it’s not a super fingerprint and smudge magnet like the Flare.

Software performance, compared to the ICS 4.0 version of the Flare, also registered major improvements. It was smoother and more fluid thanks to Android’s Project Butter.
