Dell’s new monitor is made for speed freaks
144Hz not doing it for you? Well, Dell has something for that – the company has officially announced its new Alienware 25 Gaming Monitor just in time for CES. The new monitor’s premise is speed – specifically, it’s a gaming monitor that has a 240Hz refresh rate made specifically for people who feel that regular 144Hz panels don’t give them enough frames.
That refresh rate is paired with a 1millisecond gray-to-gray response time, as well as support for both AMD Radeon FreeSync and NVIDIA G-Sync as well, though there are compromises. The panel’s size is just 25-inches, and resolution tops out at full HD, which isn’t surprising. Dell did use an IPS panel for this, which means it can pull double duty as a color-accurate monitor thanks to its 99-percent sRGB color coverage. It’s slated to hit stores in the US by March 11, with an MSRP of $499.99 or around Php 25.5K in our currency.
