Details of Huawei P30’s Cameras Surface

It will not look far from the P20 Pro’s snappers

While we know that the P30 and P30 Pro will sport triple and quadruple rear cameras respectively, leakster Evan Blass got more information about the P30’s triple rear camera setup

While it might possibly have the same 40-megapixel snapper found on the P20 Pro, the interesting part here is the 5x lossless zoom feature. On the P20 Pro, you have a 5X hybrid zoom—which is basically a combination of the 3x optical zoom of the telephoto camera with Huawei’s AI tricks to make that 5x zoom possible. Like the P20 Pro (and Mate 20 Pro), the 40-megapixel camera uses a quad Bayer array, where it combines four pixels into one, resulting in a DSLR-quality 10-megapixel image.

Going to the front camera, Blass confirms that the P30 will use a 24-megapixel snapper, though Huawei might use an all-new one instead of porting the one found on the P20 Pro.

Based on renders and rumors, the P30 will have an in-display fingerprint scanner and a Kirin 980 processor.
