DJI’s hand-held steady cam of choice for amateur videographers just got better. The company has officially announced a newer version of the OSMO, dubbed the OSMO+ that adds 7x zoom capability to the handheld video camera. The camera combines 3.5x optical zoom and 2x digital lossless zoom, which gives it an approximate focal length of 22mm to 77mm. Unfortunately the zoom only works when shooting in full HD.
As far as the actual camera goes it’s still comparable to the previous generation OSMO, and is capable of shooting in 4K as well as full HD, with framerates as high as 120FPS. It still requires an Android or iOS phone to work, and is priced at $649, or around Php 30K.
