DJI Unveils the Compact Mavic Air Drone

It’s more compact than the Mavic Pro

To further strengthen its drone lineup, DJI has officially launched the Mavic Air. Placed between the Spark and Mavic Pro, the Mavic air weighs at 430 grams, making it 41% lighter than the Mavic Pro.

Its features include a 24mm 2.8 lens and a 1/2.3-inch sensor and can record 4K video at 24 or 30 frames per second, along with shooting 12-megapixel stills. The camera has a 3-axis gimbal casing and has new shooting modes like a 32-megapixel panorama mode.

As for its flying capabilities, the Mavic Air has a 42.5Mph top speed, a 2.5-mile range, and can withstand winds of up to 22Mph. It is equipped with seven infrared cameras for its obstacle avoidance system and has a 21-minute runtime.

The Mavic Air will be priced at $799 (~Php40.8k) and will be available on January 28.
