DJI’s Osmo Pocket is a Gimbal with a Tiny Camera

Tiny but powerful

Right before 2018 comes to an end, DJI unveiled a new member of the Osmo line. Called the Osmo pocket, it is DJI’s smallest camera and stabilizer combo at four inches tall. Don’t be fooled by its diminutive size: the Osmo Pocket comes with a 1/2.3-inch sensor (which is based on DJI’s Mavic Air) capable of shooting 4K60 video at 100mbps and 12-megapixel photos with support for RAW DNG files. Connectivity options include USB-C and Lightning, and a MicroSD card slot.

As a vlogging tool, you get two microphones, a 1-inch screen for framing your shots, and a battery that can last for two hours when shooting 4K30 video. You get a variety of video recording features such as Timelapse mode, Motionlapse mode, panoramas, FPV mode, ActiveTrack, FaceTrack, and Pro mode via the DJI Mimo app.

The Osmo Pocket is available for pre-order at $349(~Php 18.2k), making it compete against GoPro’s Hero 7 Black.
