Can shoot in 4K and retails under 100$!
While there certainly isn’t a dearth of affordable action cameras in the market, very few of them are capable of shooting in resolutions higher than 1080p. That’s not a problem for Elephone’s upcoming action camera, the Ele Explorer Pro, which promises to deliver 4K recording at 24fps for just $99 (Php 4600).
Of course, if it all sounds too good to be true, it is – the sensor is only capable of recording at 2K resolution, or 2880×2160. Elephone employs software trickery to upscale the footage to 4K, though the camera is also capable of shooting in full HD and has a FOV of 170 degrees.
The camera has a 2-inch display at the back, and its 1050mAh battery is capable of shooting for 90 minutes straight before needing to be charged again. No word yet if the camera will arrive in the PH – if it does it will probably be sold online via Lazada.
