Is this the next killer Windows 10 phone?
Elephone, a Chinese OEM has just announced their newest phone – the Vowney. The new device packs impressive specs and a premium body, and is also one of the few phones that will run Windows 10 once its launched in the next few months. There’s actually two versions of the Vowney – one powered by a Intel quad-core processor that has 3GB of RAM, QHD display and the ability to dual-boot either Windows 10 or Android 5.0 and one powered by MediaTek’s MT6795, 3GB of RAM, QHD display and a Sony 20.7-megapixel rear camera, possibly the IMX230.
Other specs include either a 4200mAh (Intel) or a 3800mAh (MediaTek) along with a fingerprint scanner on the back. The phone is currently in pre-order for $299 (13.8K) and is expected to launch on September 30. That price is for the MediaTek variant – there’s no word as of yet for the Intel version.
