FCC Reveals An Unreleased iPhone X Color

FCC Reveals An Unreleased iPhone X Color

A big what if for the iPhone X

When the iPhone X launched on September 13, 2017, prospective buyers are left to choose between space gray and silver. Notably absent is a gold version, which was first used in the iPhone 5S. No details about a gold iPhone X was known—until FCC leaked a few photos of it.

This unreleased color sports a gold-toned stainless steel chassis, and a gold-colored glass back that has a lighter shade compared to the gold iPhone 8 variants. According to the documents, the photos were released around September to October 2017—just around the time when the iPhone X was launched and has an ‘A1903’ model identifier.

Also strange is the description of the display, as it is said to use an LCD display instead of an OLED display found in retail versions of the iPhone X.

While there have been reports of a third iPhone X color, we only ended up with two colors. Should Apple release this variant in the future? Share your thoughts in the comments section below!
