It’s happening. After reports of Xiaomi returning to the Philippines (for real), Mi Philippines has officially announced that they are now opening the first Authorized Mi Store in the country this February 17, 2018.

A few months ago there was a small bruhaha over two Facebook pages that both claimed to be the official Xiaomi seller in the Philippines. Mi Philippines (under the Facebook name @MiAuthorizedResllerPH) assured us at the time that they were the official partner of Xiaomi here in the Philippines.

In any case, the company (Grimalkin Corporation) has said that there will be Xiaomi representatives during the launch which should lay to bed any issues about their legitimacy as the company’s official partner in the Philippines. Doors to the store open at 10 AM, and the company will be giving away prizes, including a Mi A1.
