Fujifilm Unveils GFX50R Medium Format Mirrorless Camera

Medium format goodness in a rangefinder format

Aside from the X-T3 that launched a few weeks back, Fujifilm made a bang in Photokina 2018 with a new medium format camera: the GFX-50R.

Made to be sold alongside the GFX-50S, the GFX-50R is a 51.4-megapixel medium format camera that is housed on a rangefinder-style body. This new design makes the GFX-50R one of the most compact medium format cameras out there—it is 145 grams lighter than the GFX-50S.

While you lose a few features like the monochrome info LCD on top, the GFX-50R is still weather sealed and comes with the same EVF found on the GFX-50S. You also get USB-C connectivity with the GFX-50R, along with a 3.2-inch touchscreen LCD monitor, up to ISO12800, up to Full HD video recording, and WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity options.

The GFX-50R will be available this November for $4,500 (~Php 244.6k).
