If you are looking for other options for mid-range 5G phones, both Smart and Globe announced that they will be offering Samsung’s Galaxy A42 5G to its postpaid subscribers.
The Galaxy A42 is currently Samsung’s most affordable 5G phone right now, and it comes with features like:
- A Snapdragon 750G processor that is paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage;
- A 6.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED dislay with an under-display fingerprint scanner and a notch housing a 20-megapixel f/2.2 camera;
- Quad rear cameras consisting of a 48-megapixel f/1.8 main camera, 8-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera, 5-megapixel f/2.4 macro camera, and 5-megapixel f/2.4 depth sensor; and
- 5000mAh battery with 15w wired charging.
Those planning to get it via Smart Signature can avail of the Galaxy A42 5G at Php 1599/month (with Signature Plan M) with a Php 3,100 one-time cash out. Those opting to get it via Globe ThePlan can do so at Php 1,978/month (with ThePlan 1799). Those purchasing at either Smart or Globe before December 6 will get a UV Sterilizer with their purchase.
UPDATE: The Galaxy A42 5G’s SRP is Php 19,990, though there’s no word yet if it will be available in stores.
