Galaxy S11 Rumored to Have a 108-Megapixel Main Camera, Periscope Zoom Camera

Will the Galaxy S11 be the next game-changer?

While we are still fresh from the Galaxy Note 10 series launch, there are already early reports about the Galaxy S11 and its possible features. According to The Elec, the Galaxy S11 will reportedly use Samsung’s 108-megapixel ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor and a periscope camera with 5x optical zoom and OIS.

Samsung Electro-Mechanics has started manufacturing the periscope camera module this year, and the said module has appeared in phones like the Huawei P30 Pro and OPPO Reno 10x. Samsung will reportedly use the periscope camera in 2020 starting with the Galaxy S11, replacing the already-aging 2x optical zoom being used by Samsung’s current flagship phones. Using a periscope module will help the Galaxy S11 achieve a higher zoom range without compromising on the phone’s overall thickness.
