A sportier, sturdier Galaxy
Bummed out that the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge lost their water-resistant capabilities in lieu of a stylish, metal and glass body? Don’t be. Samsung has officially announced the newest member of the Galaxy family that’s capable of taking whatever Mother Nature dishes out. The Galaxy S6 Active is essentially a ruggedized S6 and has IP68 water resistance.

If you haven’t noticed the S6 Active got a bit of a redesign to conform to the rugged nature of its target market, and now sports a ruggedized frame, protection for the camera and physical Android navigation keys. Samsung’s also bumped up the battery of the S6 Active to 3500mAh, but other than that it looks like the S6 Active is still the S6 we’ve known and loved internally since it was released a few months ago.
Unfortunately, it looks like the S6 Active is an AT&T exclusive for now though we’re sure there are people who are keen on buying this phone if it ever lands in the open market.
