Gmate

Gmate is an innovative device which gives voice calls, SMS, and internet access to Apple iOS and Android gadgets. You basically put in a SIM Card in it and then connect it to your device via bluetooth. This means you can actually send text messages with your iPod Touch or turn your iPad WiFi-only to an iPad 3G!

Another cool feature is that you can pair it with your Android smartphone or iPhone and you can access the other SIM Card in the Gmate. Yep, you can dual-sim your iPhone.

The only drawback though is that you need to jailbreak your iOS device for this to work. There’s an application that you need to download from Cydia. This is definitely an issue for people who don’t want to jailbreak their tablets and phones but for those who are more liberal you might want to take a look into this. 🙂
