Earlier today Google officially took of the wraps off of their latest flagship, the Huawei-built Nexus 6P, a 5.7-inch phablet that many of you are already lusting for. While the phone will be hitting US customers by October, PH Nexus fans aren’t guaranteed to get the phone here – if you remember, Motorola’s Nexus 6 never officially arrived in the country even though Moto has an official presence here.

Well, there’s a sliver of hope – when asked when to expect the Nexus 6P to arrive in the PH, Charles Wu, country manager of Huawei’s consumer business group said “soon”. While that answer isn’t the confirmation that many of you are waiting for, at least there’s already a guarantee that the phone will be hitting our shores, maybe in time for the holidays.

    1. Matagal na namang walang subsidy ang Google. The Nexus 6 and 9 were sold for full price, the Nexus 5X (around the price of the new Moto X Style) and 6P will also be sold for full price. Yung price sa US Play Store is before taxes kaya nga yung mga Nexus 5 sa Asian Play Stores, around P20k yung converted price kasi kasama na yung taxes.

  1. Based on the duration it took for a Nexus device to arrive in the philippines “Soon” is actually “Next year” in Huawei’s terms.
