Google Store Finally Opening In The Philippines?

Will we finally get our hands on sweet, official Pixels?

Google unveiled a bunch of new hardware today, chief of which is the new AI-powered Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2. Unfortunately most of the goodies that the company announced will be unavailable to Philippine buyers unless they go the grey market route, but according Android Police, that will no longer be the case in the near future.

The Google Store Country Picker now lists the Philippines, Mexico, Brazil, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand, which means that we’ll soon have access to official Google hardware soon. The PH store of Google currently sells just the Chromecast, though this may change in the future.

With Google’s push into hardware, it’s also looking to expand to other countries that’s been longing for their products. With a whole suite of home appliances, phones and accessories, there’s enough variety in Google’s current product portfolio for every Pinoy to enjoy. For us, we can’t wait to get our hands on the new Pixels.
