Meet the Fusion and the Hero 6!
Action camera manufacturer GoPro has made official two new cameras in its line with the 360-degree capable Fusion and the Hero 6 with an updated image processor.
The GoPro Fusion does look like a Hero camera. However, what makes it unique is its ability to shoot 360-degree footage with image stabilization, with choices of a 5.2K60 and 3K60 video resolution. In addition, you can shoot 18-megapixel spherical photos with it. You also get other features like time-lapse video, night lapse, and burst modes. While it is a 360-degree camera, Fusion users can opt to export 360 videos as regular videos with GoPro’s OverCapture software.
GoPro Hero 6
The latest addition to the Hero line, the Hero 6 is now capable of 4K60 footage and can shoot slo-mo 1080P footage at 240FPS.The biggest upgrade on the Hero 6 is its all-new GP1 image processor, which gives it better color reproduction, better low-light performance, and broader dynamic range compared to previous Hero models, in addition to extensive manual controls. Other improvements include a new HDR mode, linear zoom, and faster WiFi speeds.
The Fusion will be priced at $699 (~Php 35.5k) while the Hero 6 will be priced at $499 (~Php 25.4k). The Hero 6 is available in stores, while the Fusion will be available in November.
