Havit HV-F9 Bluetooth Headphone Unboxing, Quick Review: The Best of Both Wired and Wireless

Havit HV-F9 Bluetooth Headphone Unboxing, Quick Review: The Best of Both Wired and Wireless

We unbox the Havit HV-F9!

While we encounter phones ditching the headphone jack, going wireless is the rational option. However, wireless technology is not yet perfect, which is why most of the best audio gear stick to a wired connection.

Some wireless offerings do have a wired option, which is the case of the Havit F9 Bluetooth headphones. Havit sent us a box containing some of their audio products, and the F9 is among those products.

What is it?

The F9 is a Bluetooth headphone from Hong Kong-based brand Havit. They are marketed as ultra comfortable, and we’re not surprised: From the packaging’s transparent exterior, the F9 sports a well-padded leatherette headband.

What’s in the box?

Aside from the headphones (our review unit is dressed in brown and silver), you have your usual documentation, a MicroUSB cable, and a 3.5mm cord.

Wait…it comes with a 3.5mm cable?

Yup! And the reason for that is you can use the HV-F9 in wired mode if you want to conserve its battery. You don’t use any battery power when you are in wired mode, which is useful in times where you can’t charge them up.

What are our first impressions?

They are quite a looker. Aside from the well-padded headband, the Havit F9 has adjustable metal straps holding the two drivers—both encased in plastic. Both cups can swivel up to 180 degrees. They have the right amount of heft, which makes us think that they are durable.

The earcups sport the same leatherette padding found on the headband, which stay’s true to the F9’s Ultra-Comfortable tagline.

The left driver houses the 3.5mm jack, while the right driver houses the Bluetooth module, battery, controls, and MicroUSB port.

Would we recommend it?

We’re reserving our verdict for now, as we will be using the F9 as our daily driver in the coming days. We’ll use both its wired and wireless mode to see if they are worth its Php 1,990 asking price.
