Well, technically that’s not true – while the phone does use a full metal unibody chassis, a first for the brand, the design language isn’t completely new. Stare long enough at the curved back, and you’ll see traces of the design of the Mi Pad, and a few design cues taken from rival Meizu.
The Redmi Note 3 is powered by MediaTek’s 2.0GHz Helio X10 processor, paired with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM depending on the config. It’s also equippeid with 16GB of storage for the 2GB RAM model, while 32GB sits inside the 3GB RAM model, with no space for microSD expansion.
Other specs include a 5.5-inch full HD display, 13-megapixel rear camera with phase detection AF and a fingerprint scanner on the back. The Redmi Note 3 also comes with a rather large 4000mAh battery in it to keep the lights on for extended periods of time.
The Redmi Note 3 is expected to retail for RMB 899 (6.6K) for the 2GB RAM/16GB version while the higher 3GB RAM/32GB version will be RMB 1099 or Php 8K.
