Xiaomi is definitely on a roll!
With less than a day before the official unveiling of the Mi MIX 2, Xiaomi is definitely putting all stops to steal the spotlight from Apple, which is launching three iPhones including the iPhone X on September 12. In the most recent leaked photo of the actual phone shows that Xiaomi managed to shave off the bottom bezel further, leaving enough space to house the front camera, located at the bottom right edge of the phone. In addition, the phablet will most probably ditch the headphone jack and sport a USB-C connectivity.
As for the internals, the Mi MIX 2 is confirmed to have 6GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage, as detailed in its official packaging:
Along with the launch of the global beta of MiUI 9, the Mi MIX 2 will challenge BOTH the iPhone 8 and Note 8 in terms of its internals (the iPhone 8 is rumored to have only 3GB of RAM, while the Note 8 can’t match the screen-to-body ratio of the Mi MIX 2). Now if the Mi MIX 2 will be priced lower than the iPhone 8 and Note 8, which is priced at $1100 and $930 respectively, the Mi MIX 2 will be a winner in the premium flagship segment.
