With a slight twist to the familiar look
A few weeks ago, Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi 6 and 6A. Both phones sport an 18:9 display, AI smarts, and the latest Helio processors, along with aggressive pricing. What was noticeably missing was a notch-sporting Redmi phone that was first seen in TENAA. Turns out, Xiaomi planned a different release for the Redmi 6 Pro, which is slated to launch together with the Mi Pad 4 on June 25.
While we are a few days away from the official launch, Xiaomi shared these images showcasing the Redmi 6 Pro.
While the rear looks identical to the Redmi Note 5, the Redmi 6 Pro will be the first Redmi phone to come with a notch-sporting 19:9 display. The chin is very noticeable here, along with some bezel trimmings on the top. However, it’s hard to complain since Redmi phones are targeted towards budget-conscious consumers who want trendy phones for cheap.
Speaking of specs, Xiaomi teased in a soccer-themed poster that aside from a 19:9 display, the Redmi 6 Pro will come with a Snapdragon 625 processor, a 4000mAh battery, and AI smarts. We will know more about the Redmi 6 Pro and Mi Pad 4 come June 25, so stay tuned here at the site.
