Here’s An Updated List of Xiaomi Phones Expected to Receive Android Pie

The Redmi Note 5 and Redmi S2 should receive beta updates by this quarter

There are many reasons why people love Xiaomi. Aside from offering bang-for-the-buck offerings from their flagship line down to their budget-friendly models, Xiaomi is consistent in rolling out updates in the form of MIUI upgrades and major Android upgrades.

While it has rolled out Android Pie to the Mi MIX 2S, Mi Max 3, and all variants of the Mi 8, Xiaomi is scheduled to roll out the update to more phones. In its updated list, Xiaomi includes 10 phones slated for a public beta launch.

The Redmi Note 5 and Redmi S2/Y2 is scheduled to receive Android Pie Beta by the first quarter of 2019. The Mi MIX 2, Mi 6, Redmi 6A, Redmi 6, and Mi Note 3 are scheduled for the second quarter of 2019. The Mi 9 Explorer, Mi 6X, and Redmi Note 6 Pro have no finalized schedule as of this writing but expect Android Pie Beta to be available to them by the second half of 2019.

The Public Beta is open to both China and Global ROMs of MIUI, which is a delight to all Xiaomi users.
