  1. If am gonna buy, I would rather go for 2.3Ghz, 4 gb ram with 64gb memory onboard, you would just cost only P1000 compare to 32gb memory. . Will this be available immediately????

    1. I don’t think you would want to splurge Php 15k on a smartphone that has capasitive keys that doesn’t light up, BUMMER…hirap kaya nun huh……and besides, pwede mo na mabili yung LG G3 ng Php 16k ngayon or yung LG G Pro 2 for Php 15k I think

        1. lol you’re just so wrong it’s funny.

The 720p variant is the ZE550ML, which will not be officially sold here.

    1. ZE551ML – Lahat FHD
ZE550ML (not offered in the PH) and ZE500CL – Lahat HD

So the answer to your question is yes, FHD po ang P9,995 ZE551ML.

  2. ok na ako sa 1.8GHz, 2GB RAM, 16GB of storage: Php 9,995. meron na ba review nito? i’m torn between this and huawei honor 4x.

  3. 1.8GHz, 2GB variant of the Zenfone 2, which is 16GB of RAM and will go for Php 9,995?
    really?> hahahaha ๐Ÿ˜€ i wish that’s true :3

Xiaomi? Meizu? Bobo malayo pa agwat. Tanga amputa.

  4. by next week or the coming days, the stores here in CdeO will have it. But most likely , it’ll sell fast

    1. FYI Sony sensor po ang gamit ng Asus para dito. do your homework po muna before commenting. At ok ang specs nito, ang camera ng zenfone like no other pagdating sa night shots.

      1. Funny comment from a fanboy eh ang kaya mo lang naman bilhin zenfone 2. So you’re just one dirt cheap buyer, lol 2x!

  7. They should’ve just put 2 GB RAM instead to keep the cost down, Php 15k is just about the price of an LG G3 these days

Pero kung tulad ka ng karamihan na marunong makuntento at hindi ganun kaarte ang mata sa camera (yung kaya naman idaan sa filter haha), snappier processing, more wiggle-room for multitasking (na admittedly, di naman kailangan ng iba) and about 4x as much internal storage, for waaaay less than the cost of a brand new LG G3, Zenfone 2 is the dream. At least, theoretically.

Mas maganda pa rin ngang maghintay muna ng enough user feedback bago bumili or iconclude na it’s not worth its price.

      1. meron pong tinatawag na dbgadgets, kimstore, at widget city. lahat ng international brands dun almost half price. yeah kung sa mall malayo ang pricing nila sa zenfone 2, but in those stores,naku..the price advantage disappears.

  8. I currently purchased Honor 4x LTE and i swear, hindi ko inaasahan na maganda yung phone. Two thumbs up ako sa camera. So far, I am loving this phone. Worth the price. Zenfone? No comment.

    1. Camera aside, the Zenfone 2 is the better buy, when you take into account the internal storage, the chipset (1.8Ghz Intel Atom Z3560 beats the Kirin 620), and software updates. Huawei is a good manufacturer but they’re pretty bad with Android version updates.

Asus, on the other hand, updated the Zenfone 5 all the way from 4.3 to 4.4.2 to 5.0, so it’s better on their side.

  9. The one with the 64gb internal is quite enticing! If this had supported hi-fi audio, I would get it in a heartbeat!

  10. Awww…. they didn’t give a special discount like the Zenfone 5 ๐Ÿ™

ah well, kudos to Asus for making other OEMS fear for their money when they announced it to be “Affordable” which for the high-end variant, it is. but the 2gig ram variant… err…. hmm… i dunno, it’s “Good choice” but… meh, the 4gig variant will probably be a much better buy.

On the side note, i wouldn’t recommend anyone opening 2-3 high-end games on your phone because that will drain the battery faster. It affects the M1 note as well, just leaving apps in the background drains the battery 20-30% faster. This is not the phone’s fault but Androids.

  11. It would have been more competitive if the ZE551ML 2gb ram version is priced the same as the Meizu M1 Note. it’ll make Meizu run for their money and pull away prospective M1 note buyers to looks at ZF2 instead.

    1. good point. not to mention na walang sinabi ang cameras ng zenfone 2 (all variants) sa cameras ng m1 note..right now the good buy is the high spec ones.

      1. Dapat lang naman po. Para namang dinuraan sa mukha ng ASUS ang LG, or ng LG ang mga consumers, kung on-par or superior ang ZF2 sa G3 in every aspect, considering the price difference (brand new).

As for user experience: that’s highly subjective and it’s too early to tell.

I don’t own one just yet, but I have a close friend who does. I get to use it from time to time, and my hands-on experience, so far, has been all good. Even sa camera performance niya. Its camera is still better than that of my iPhone 4S, and even this one is more than adequate for me kaya malabong pagsisihan ko si ZF2.

I don’t think it’s the best one around, but the quality is still on par with the previous generation flagships like Galaxy S3 na puring-puri nung time nila. Outdated by now, but more than enough for the non-professional camera user. Like!” or “Masyadong pixelated yung pores ko dito pag nakazoom-in! Untag!”, in which case, I think you need to get a life.

Most people focus on the object on the photo, not judge the technical qualities of the photos they share or take. So unless you do it for a living, it’s pretentious at best.

Besides, a top-of-the-line camera is too much to ask from a sub-15k device that already has everything else more than covered.

    1. the problem is, it’s NOT too much to ask for a good camera in a sub 15k device. the meizu m1 note has one,the mx4 has one as well, not to mention the older/not so older international brand flagships that are now being sold at about the same price as the zenfone 2. if the price is below 10k with all the specs of the 15k zenfone 2 then yes,the camera could be forgivable, but once you reach 15k, there will be a lot of competing brands to consider.

  13. di ko kailanagn ng zf2 64gb storage- pero parang lugi ako pag 32gb yung bibilhin ko- eh 1k na lang eh.. sana naging P12,995 lang yung 32gb.. yun na talaga.

It comes with additional 64GB sandisk na micro sd kaya raw naging 17K.

  15. Do you guys know kung san nakakabili ng 64GB around the metro?

  16. Where to buy zenfone 2 32gb 4gb ram variant? official price daw is php 13,995. Ayoko din mag lazada kasi more than 2 weeks iintayin before makuha. Muntinlupa area ako.

    1. Go to megamall.

  17. There. Are pros and cons sa lahat kahit pa iphone but if you will compare the price, its way cheap than top of the line fablet.
If you got a zenfone 2 sakin maganda sya and worth every centavo you spent from it.
Its been a week now since i got my ze551ml and sulit sya.. battery lang medyo malakas sya dhil sa full HD SCREEN NYA.

  18. I’m currently enjoying ZE500CL with 2gb ram and 16gb , hindi naman ako masyado makalikot sa camera e bsta solid yung performance at nageenjoy ako (kahit talaga yung camera with high megapixel ang frontliner) In terms of performance, verysmooth kahit ilang apps games pa buksan mo.

  20. Does anyone know how to tell which version a Zenfone 2 is without opening the box?
I’m considering buying one in the Philippines to use in Canada and so need either the US or WW version. Unfortunately the Philippines shop I’m eyeing has no idea what version they are selling.
