Here’s Why Huawei’s Y6s Should Be Your Next Budget Phone This Christmas

A new budget phone to consider this Christmas

Looking for a smartphone this Christmas that won’t break the bank? Well, you’re in luck as Huawei is wrapping up 2019 with their new budget phone dubbed the Y6s. The brand’s latest budget offering is a direct successor to the Y6 Pro 2019, and Huawei has infused it with plenty of new features to make it stand out against the crowd this Christmas.

Here are a few reasons why you should consider the Y6s for yourself or your loved ones this holiday season:

An elegant and unique design

Instead of glossy finishes and over-the-top gradients, the Y6s is decked out with an elegant and understated dual-texture design. The Orchid Blue and Starry Black colorways aren’t as loud as the offerings of their competitors, making the Y6s a perfect phone to get for people who want to blend in the crowd, instead of standing out.

Its solid build quality makes the Y6s feel more expensive than it is, and since it’s made by Huawei you know this budget phone will last the rigors of daily life without any problems.

Compact, pocket-friendly size

Big phones aren’t for everyone, and there’s always a place for mobiles with more compact footprints. The Y6s’ overall dimensions put it in a sweet spot where its big enough to hold a 6.09-inch dewdrop display, while small enough to be easily pocketable by anyone. The phone’s superior pocketability is made possible thanks to skinny side and top bezels which makes it at home in even the skinniest of jeans.

The display isn’t bad either – the HD+ resolution panel gives the Y6s decent pixel density for playing games and viewing videos.

Value-added features

Budget phones don’t have to be light on features, and the Y6s has plenty of value-added amenities that are not usually present in the offerings of its rivals.

The Y6s has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for that extra layer of security for faster and more secure unlocks, has a built-in Radio and Huawei’s SuperSound technology that gives users better sound quality than your average budget phone.

Capable internals for a budget phone

Armed with a 2.53GHz octa-core Helio P35 processor, the Y6s has enough oomph to satisfy most users and gamers on a budget. Compared to the offerings of similarly-priced phones, the Y6s has bigger storage capacity (64GB plus 3GB RAM) that allows users to store more games, photos, and videos. The Y6s comes with a dedicated MicroSD card slot if the internal storage is not enough, and its processor is capable of handling popular titles like Mobile Legends.

The Y6s is priced at Php 6,990.

  1. If they priced it lower, it would’ve stood from the crowd. But at this price, P6,990 there are a lot of options out there, and I mean a LOT. Realme 5 with quad cameras, even the Redmi Note 7 is now made even affordable.
