The Galaxy S20 series has company
While we are all hyped up for the imminent launch of Samsung’s Galaxy S20 series, Xiaomi wants a share of the limelight with the Mi 10 series.
Initially spotted in an alleged poster, the new leaks further confirm the design of the Mi 10, which includes a quad-rear camera setup led by a 108-megapixel ISOCELL HMX main rear camera, a curved display, and a punch-hole on the left side of the display.
For key specs, Xiaomi is going all in with the Mi 10 just like its previous flagships. Aside from a Snapdragon 865 processor, the Mi 10 will be one of the first phones to have LPDDR5 RAM (the other being the Galaxy S20 series and Z Flip), along with fast UFS 3.0 storage and WiFi 6.
In addition, Xiaomi shared the synthetic benchmarks o the Mi 10, showcasing the Snapdragon 865’s muscle against the Snapdragon 855+, Kirin 990 5G, and Exynos 9825. To handle such processing power, Xiaomi updated the cooling system on the Mi 10 to include a large VC heat-dissipating board, 6 layers of graphite sheets, and a large graphene layer.
We should know more about the Mi 10 series come February 13 for the China launch and February 23 for the global launch at MWC.
