HMD Global Rolls Out Stable Android 10 Build to the Nokia 8.1

It is the first mid-range phone to receive Android 10

HMD Global stayed to its schedule and is rolling out the stable Android 10 build to the Nokia 8.1. The update weighs around 1.5GB and includes the September 2019 security patch.

With this rollout, the Nokia 8.1 is the first mid-range phone (specifically, the first Snapdragon 710-powered phone) to officially receive Android 10. Currently, all Pixel phones and Snapdragon 800 series-powered phones like the Essential Phone, OnePlus 7, and OnePlus 7 Pro have been updated to Android 10.

Key highlights of Android 10 include a system-wide Dark mode, native and streamlined gesture navigation, and improved privacy and security controls.
