Honor Joins The Gaming Phone Segment with the Honor Play and Honor 9i

Featuring GPU optimizations for better gaming performance

Honor is the latest brand to join the gaming phone craze with two models: The Honor Play and the Honor 9i.

The Honor Play sports a large 6.3-inch display and comes with GPU Turbo. The latter aims to offer a boost in performance though CPU tweaks. In addition, the Honor Play has 3D audio and 7.1 channel virtualization tweaks thanks to Histen audio.

On the other hand, the Honor 9i is an affordable option, swapping the Kirin 970 processor for a Kirin 659 while still equipped with GPU Turbo. Appearance-wise, the Honor 9i is very similar to the Honor 9 Lite, save for the notch-sporting display and the fancy color options that include Dream Purple and Japser.
