A major feat for Honor
While Huawei and Xiaomi have been going head-to-head for the DxOMark throne, Honor makes a surprise with the V30 Pro. DxOMark recently reviewed Honor’s latest budget flagship, and it scored 122 overall—edging out the Mate 30 Pro and Mi Note 10 Pro by a point.
For the photo category, the V30 Pro is just behind the Mate 30 Pro 5G by a point. DxOMark remarked that the V30 Pro’s performance is close to the Mate 30 Pro 5G save for the autofocus fail issues encountered during the review. Like its Huawei sibling, the V30 Pro excelled well in low-light photography, bokeh simulation, and detail preservation.
For the video subcategory, the V30 Pro is two points behind the Mate 30 Pro. DxOMark noted that despite the autofocus issues and visible denoising artifacts, the V30 Pro performed well in shooting videos at up to 4K.
