Xiaomi’s latest powerbank has a Type-C Port
While we loved using the Nexus 6p for three months, one of the biggest hassles that we had was finding accessories for it that used the USB Type-C connector. Since we were just provided with a single Type-C to Type-C connector for it, we were forced to seek out power plugs whenever our battery dipped lower than 20%.
That’s why Xiaomi’s latest product, the 10000mAh Mi Powerbank Pro is a godsend for people rocking the Nexus 6p and other Type-C toting smartphones, since it’s the company’s first ever powerbank that has a Type-C connector. What’s cool about this poarticular powerbank is that there’s a wide variety of voltages on offer, which range from 5V/2A, 9V/2A and 12V/1.5A. One of the benefits of having a USB Type-C connector is fast charging, which the Mi Powerbank Pro supports.
The Mi Powerbank Pro comes with an 18W charger, which allows the accessory to be charged from 0 to 100% in just three and a half hours. Xiaomi is pricing this particular device in China for RMB 149 or around 1K, which is quite affordable, desptite the fact that you’d have to source one in China if you want it in your collection.
