Continuous Ink System or CISS is a fairly common printer technology nowadays, used by frugal office managers and small-scale print outfits. While the CISS printer market has been fairly cornered by Japanese company Epson, American outfit HP is looking to make their own mark in the CISS game via their new breed of printers. First up, the DeskJet GT 5820 AiO.

The DeskJet GT 5820 AiO is capable of printing up to 8,000 pages with a set of three HP spill free color bottles, and up to 5,000 pages with their spill-free black pigment ink. Each ink bottle costs around Php 310 making prints rather cheap. HP’s CISS system uses a spill-free refill design, which essentially means you just plug in the new inks when the old ones run out without needing to squeeze them or manipulate them.

The DeskJet GT 5820 AiO also has WiFi capability, and connects easily to a mobile device like a phone or tablet.
