HP has officially unveiled their Omen gaming brand in the Philippines today, targeting hard-core gamers looking for branded machines to all the latest games on. Three new products were launched in the country under the Omen by HP branding – a 15 and 17-inch notebook and the company’s high-end gaming desktop, the Omen X.
The two notebooks sport slim profiles (for gaming notebooks) carbon fiber-esque looks, Intel’s Core i7-6700 processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM as well as NVIDIA’s aging GTX965m GPU, 128GB SSD and 1TB of HDD storage as well as HP’s “Red Dragon” backlit keyboard.
The notebook also sports Bang and Olufsen speakers in either dual or quad configurations, HP audio boost and an included HP X9000 mouse, free with every purchase. The notebook’s power pack also has fast charging tech, capable of charging the notebook from 0% to 90% in just 90 minutes.
The Omen X, on the other hand, is a rather unique desktop developed by HP for hardcore gamers. While it still has a square profile much like many gaming desktops in the market today, HP’s turned the square shape on its side, giving the Omen X a unique look.
The Omen X has all the possible trimmings you’d expect from a high-end gaming desktop – easily removable component bays, dual water-cooling and room for the latest graphics cards in the market, side-by-side.
The 15-inch variant will start at Php 59,990. No prices yet for the Omen X or the 17-inch version.
