HP’s latest Pro x2 Hybrid Is Tough, Military-grade

Need a tough hybrid that meets and exceeds the specifications of the US Department of Defense? HP has you covered – they’ve officially unveiled their Pro x2 hybrid in Mobile World Congress today, promising to give road warriors a tool that’s as tough as the tools that the US Military uses. The new Pro x2 612 G2 has all the bells and whistles that people look for – light weight (2.65 pounds), 11 hours of battery life on a single charge, Intel’s latest Core i7 processors, 8GB of RAM, 512GB of storage and LTE connectivity.

That’s not all though, as the akwardly named notebook also comes with a Wacom Digitizer, stylus and a 165-degree kickstand that allows creatives to doodle away in relative comfort. The Pro x2 612 G2 is MIL-STD 810G rated for drops, dust, humidty, temperature changes and functional shock, which means it should be tougher than most convertibles today. Just don’t go around dropping the thing on concrete floors.

In the US, the HP Pro x2 612 G2 will be priced starting $979, though prices quickly increase once you put in faster processors and better options.
