Is the four-cam mid-range device coming to the Philippines?
Huawei recently announced the Nova 2i AKA the Maimang 6 in Malaysia the other day, and it looks like that new mid-range phone may be coming to the Philippines as well. Huawei’s Facebook account has posted a teaser video, with the hashtag #OOOO.
Judging from Huawei’s use of the #OO hashtag before for the P10 and P10 Plus, the #OOOO hashtag is referring to a smartphone with four cameras in its body. There’s only one smartphone currently in Huawei’s lineup that fits the bill, and that’s the recently announced Nova 2i. It’s the same hashtag that the company used to tease the same phone in Malaysia before it was unveiled.
If you’ve forgotten, the Nova 2i is Huawei’s first phone to sport a display that has an 18:9 aspect ratio, which means slimmer bezels and an overall 5.9-inch display in a body that’s only as big as a regular 5.5-inch phone. It has four cams scattered around its body – two in the front and two in the rear – as well as their home-grown Kirin 659 octa-core processor built on the 16nm process, Mali-T830 MP2 GPU, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage and a metal body.
