Another pop-up sporting phone joins the crowd

It’s official: Huawei does not want to be left behind with the pop-up camera craze. As a response, it has confirmed that it will be bringing the Y9 Prime 2019 to the Philippines on July 1.

The Y9 Prime 2019 is one of the few phones from Huawei to sport a notch-free, all screen display. While the earpiece is tucked in between the skinny top bezel, the 16-megapixel front camera is located in a pop-up module.

This mid-range phone is packed with features like a triple rear camera setup—16-megapixel main camera with 6P lens, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and 2-megapixel depth sensor, 4000mAh battery, and USB-C. Powering it is a Kirin 710F processor with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

As for pricing, we hope Huawei gives a competitive price for the Y9 2019, as both the vivo V15 and Xiaomi Mi 9T come with a sub-Php 16k price tag.
