Huawei Launches MateBook D series with Ryzen Processor Option

A MacBook Pro alternative?

In addition to the MatePad Pro, Huawei updated laptop portfolio with the MateBook D.

The MateBook D comes in 14-inch and 15.6-inch versions, and come with Full HD screens, fingrprint readers integrated into the power button, and an array of ports that include one USB-C 3.1, two USB-A 2.0, one USB-A 3.0, HDMI, and headphone jack.

Configuration options include Core i5/i7 processors, MX250 GPUs, 8GB/16GB RAM, and up to 512GB SSD storage. There’s a MateBook D Ryzen Edition that comes with a Ryzen 5 3500U processor and Vega 8 GPU. The 14-inch variant comes with a 56Wh battery while the 15.6-inch version comes with a 45Wh battery.

Pricing for both variants start at CNY 3999(Php 28.9k), which gets you a Ryzen 5 3500U processor, Vega 8 GPU, 8GB RAM, and 512GB SSD (256GB SSD+1TB HDD for the MateBook D 15.6). It will be available starting December 3 in China.
