It’s by far the company’s best performance
Nothing typifies the rap lyric “started from the bottom now we’re here” more than Chinese brand Huawei. From a market share that was so insignificant that it was lumped in the “other” category back in 2010, the company has now managed to surpass Apple earlier this year as the world’s largest phone vendor according to Canalys.
The company is also capping off the year on a high note, as Huawei has managed to ship around 200 million phones in 2018. The company credits its phenomenal performance the performance of its P20, Honor 10 and Mate 20 series.
Huawei first adjusted their sales forecast back in August from 180 million devices to 200 million, and is confident about becoming the world’s largest phone vendor by the end of 2019, surpassing even Samsung despite facing big challenges, specifically from the American government.
