Huawei Nova 2i Price, Release Date In Philippines Outed By Retailer

Aggressive pricing on the part of Huawei

It’s almost a certainty that Huawei will be releasing the Nova 2i in the Philippines in the next few weeks. The only question now is when, and how much. While Huawei has been pretty tight-lipped about the eventual price and release date of their quad-camera smartphone, a retailer based in Davao has outed the price of the new phone and its eventual release date.

According to Wiltelcom, Huawei’s Nova 2i will be priced at Php 14,990, which is a pretty aggressive price for a device that has all of the phone’s features, which include quad cameras (two rear and two front) along with an 18:9 display plus a full metal body. If that wasn’t enough, they’re also sweetening the deal by including a free Bluetooth speaker with every purchase for the first 100 customers. The phone will be released to the market on October 20.

Huawei Nova 2i specs

  • Kirin 659 octa-core processor
  • 4GB of RAM
  • 5.9-inch Full HD display, 18:9 display aspect ratio
  • 64GB of storage, expandable via microSD
  • 16-Megapixel and 2-Megapixel rear cameras with PDAF and LED Flash
  • 13-Megapixel and 2-Megapixel front cameras with LED Flash
  • Dual SIM
  • 3G, LTE
  • WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, Fingerprint scanner
  • 3,340mAh battery
  • Android Nougat (7.0)

Again, it’s important to note that Huawei has not announced official pricing for the Nova 2i yet. Wiltelcom’s SRP may be a pre-order special, which may not accurately reflect the SRP of the device when it’s launched. We’ll just have to see in the next few days.
