Roughly 7 months after announcing the Nova 7 SE, Huawei announced its successor with the Nova 8 SE. With a camera module reminiscent of the Nova 7i and a boxy design that is inspired by the iPhone 12 series, the Nova 8 SE gets serious upgrades. These include:
- A 3800mAh battery with blazing-fast 66w wired charging;
- Either a Dimensity 720 or 800U processor, with both versions having 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage;
- A 6.53-inch Full HD+ OLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner, support for HDR10, and a waterdrop notch for the 16-megapixel selfie snapper; and
- A quad rear camera setup that is similar to its predecessor: 64-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a pair of 2-megapixel cameras: one for macro and the other for depth sensing.
The Nova 8 SE will be available in China on November 11. The Dimensity 720 variant will sell for CNY 2599(~Php 19k) while the Dimenasity 800U version will go for CNY 2699(~Php 19.7k).
