Participating devices include the P10, P10 Plus, Mate 9, Mate 9 Pro
After opening the EMUI 9 Beta Progam to most Kirin 970-equipped phones like the P20 Pro, Mate 10 Pro, and Honor 10, Huawei announced that it is expanding its beta program to more devices.
In its latest update, the EMUI 9 Beta program is open to the Nova 3, Honor Note 10, Honor 9, Honor V9, Mate 9, Mate 9 Pro, P10, P10 Plus, and Nova 2s.
The inclusion of older phones such as the P10 and Mate 9 in the beta program shows Huawei’s commitment to providing the latest Android update to its old flagship devices. For both P10 and Mate 9, this will be the second major update for them, as they came with Android Nougat out of the box when they launched last year.
While the beta program is available in China, expect it to be available at our shores soon enough.
