Huawei Philippines Officially Launches MateBook D 15

Premium features for mid-range money

Huawei is expanding its notebook portfolio in the Philippines as the firm has officially launched its new, 15-inch MateBook D in the country today.

This mid-range notebook is meant for both students and working professionals looking for a stylish yet affordable notebook that’s packed to the brim with features you’d typically see on more expensive notebooks.

The MateBook D 15 uses an aluminum chassis for its construction for added strength and rigidity. The notebook’s 15.6-inch display has very small bezels on the sides and top, which shrinks the notebook’s overall footprint compared to a traditional 15.6-inch competitor.

The notebook also has an integrated fingerprint scanner on the power button, along with webcam hidden near the function keys. The notebook takes power via a USB Type-C port and has 3 USB 3.1 ports scattered around its chassis.

The notebook is powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor this time around, paired with 8GB of DDR4 24000MHz RAM. A 256GB SSD drive and a 1TB HDD drive tops off the hardware of the notebook.

The MateBook D is priced at Php 37,990 in the Philippines, and consumers who will pre-order from February 8 to 14 will get a MediaPad T3 8-inch, Bluetooth Mouse, and backpack with their purchase.
