The late 2018 mid-ranger is a hit for Huawei
The Y9 2019 came out late last year as one of Huawei’s mid-range offerings. With features that include dual front and rear cameras, Full HD+ display, and a 4000mAh battery.
Packing internals that includes a Kirin 710 processor, 4GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage, the Y9 2019 is a competitively-priced device when it launched back then with a Php 12,990 price tag.
Fast forward to almost a year later, a Huawei executive announced over Weibo that the Y9 2019 sold 10 million units in China alone—where it is known as the Enjoy 9 Plus.
Following the announcement, the Huawei executive said that they are preparing for the Enjoy 10 Plus on September 5. In the official promo video, the Enjoy 10 Plus shares a lot in common with the Y9 Prime 2019 save for the back panel design and camera module layout. It also has a pop-up front camera and triple rear camera setup, though it is not yet clear if it will use a Kirin 710 or Kirin 810 processor.
We should know more about the Enjoy 10 Plus on September 5.
