5G modems to power the future
In its push for 5G, Huawei announced its portfolio of 5G products that include a home 5G modem and a 5G pocket wifi model.
Huawei’s 5G CPE Pro modem supports WiFi 6 and sub-6Ghz 5G networks. Inside it is Huawei’s Balong 5000 5G modem, which supports all networks from 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G. Huawei brands it as the fastest 5G modems out there, as it can support up to 4.6Gbps in sub-6ghz networks theoretically, and up to 3.2Gbps in live network rate.
With WiFi 6, Huawei’s 5G CPE Pro modem can handle up to 4.8Gbps, which is almost 3x faster than current WiFi 5 standards. Other benefits of WiFi 6 include a broader area coverage and better support for smart home devices.
Should you want to install a 5G modem outside, there a WIN variant of the 5G CPE Pro modem that has an IP65 rating and is designed for outdoor placement.
For those who are on the go, there’s a 5G mobile WiFi that offers the same features of its bigger brother but in a compact size. It doubles as a power bank with its 8000mAh battery with support for wireless charging.
