Huawei’s Y Max is the Giant Phablet Made for Entertainment

For those who want it big

Aside from the leather-backed Y6 Pro 2019, Huawei also unveiled a giant phone in the form of the Y Max in Sri Lanka. While it looks like the China-only Honor 8X Max, the Y Max comes with a more powerful Snapdragon 660 processor.

Save for those two key differences, the Y Max is the same giant phone: 7.1 inches of screen estate accompanied by an equally large 5000mAh battery. Being an entertainment-centric device, you get 128GB of onboard storage that is expandable via MicroSD.

Huawei Y Max specs

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor
  • 4GB of RAM
  • 7.1-inch Full HD+ IPS display
  • 128GB of internal storage, expandable via MicroSD card
  • 16-megapixel f/2.0 and 2-megapixel f/2.4 rear cameras with PDAF, LED flash
  • 8-megapixel f/2.0 front camera
  • Dual SIM
  • 3G, LTE
  • WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, fingerprint scanner
