IFA 2017: Acer launches Two Boss-Level 4K Projectors

Projectors are catching up with technology nowadays with 4K technology, and Acer launched two projectors for this year’s IFA: one for homes, and one for large venues.

VL7860: 4K UHD Cinema experience at home

As the smallest 4K UHD laser projector, the VL7860 produces sharp displays up to 120 inches with Texas Instruments’ XPR Technology. The projector is capable of up to 3,000 lumens and 1,500,000:1 DynamicBlack contrast for crisp display projections. Its compact design makes it ideal to be used in a variety of environments, and also comes with two 5-watt speakers, making it a perfect companion for your home entertainment setup. Instead of using mercury based lamps, the VL7860 uses an environment-friendly laser diode technology which has an ECO mode for less power consumption and can extend lamp life for up to 30,000 hours.

 

 

P8800: UltraHD at 5,000 lumens

Images projected through the P8800 is crisp and clear regardless of daylight with its 5,000 lumens brightness, 1,200,000:1 contrast ratio and AcuMotion technology. It is also a perfect projector for large venues as it supports the Crestron Network System, allowing LAN-based or multi-user control of the screen. With a 1.96X motorized zoom, H/V lens shift, and a central lens design, the P8800 is flexible when it comes to installation.

 

Both the VL7860 and PL8800 will be available early next year, but pricing has yet to be announced.
