Infinix to Stop Selling Phones in the Philippines

Infinix to Stop Selling Phones in the Philippines

The Note 5 will be their last model sold locally

Following the local launch of the Note 5 in Lazada, Infinix has announced that it will be the last phone they will be selling locally. This was confirmed by Infinix Philippines Brand Manager Zaks Yu in a post at the Infinix Mobile Philippines Facebook group:

In his post, he mentions low sales and low commissions as the reasons for pulling out all Infinix phones from the Philippines. While it will end its smartphone sales, Yu assures all Infinix users that they will continue their aftersales service for its phones.

In the meantime, Yu said that they will be selling various Infinix accessories that include power banks, smart watches, and headsets.

This is not the first time a company pulled out of the country: a few years back, Xiaomi and Honor pulled out of the country, only to return this year more successful than before. The same might happen for Infinix once they make changes to their marketing strategy should they sell their phones in the Philippines in the near future.
