A bigger battery is expected as well
As we wait for the iPhone 12 series, Max Weinbach and EverythingApplePro revealed more details about the upcoming iPhones. In their latest roundup of leaks, the iPhone 12 Pro will come in two sizes–6.1-inch and 6.7-inch–and both models will feature a 120Hz ProMotion display first seen in the iPad Pro. The display is said to dynamically switch between 60Hz and 120Hz to preserve battery life.
Because of the updated display and 5G support, Apple will be outfitting both models with bigger batteries, with the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max rumored to have a 4400mAh battery. For reference, the iPhone 11 Pro Max comes with a 4000mAh battery (3969mAh typ).
Other rumors include a new Navy Blue color for the iPhone 12 Pro model, a smaller notch with improved FaceID, and an additional LIDAR scanner on the back for improved autofocus and AR experience. Together with the LIDAR scanner, Weinbach reports that the iPhone 12 Pro will have a 3x telephoto zoom camera and an improved Smart HDR algorithm.
While Apple has yet confirmed these features, Weinbach has a good track record when it comes to Apple rumors.
