JBL is joining the Smart Speaker Train with the new Link Series

More speakers that listen to you!

A few days towards the start of this year’s IFA, we have talked about how Smart Speakers will be the next trend, with brands like Panasonic, Anker, MobVoi, and Sony making use of Google Assistant for their Smart Speaker system.

Honestly, I myself really dig the idea of telling your speakers when you want them to power up, or when I want my speakers to play my favorite tunes—from Green Day to Ariana Grande, whenever I like to without fiddling through various controls. I can even ask them some questions, or let them do a few online without needing to be on my smartphone at all times.

Which is why I am not surprised at how brands are adapting to this new evolution of artificial intelligence. Yes, even enthusiast audio brands like JBL are also joining in with their much-acclaimed Link series. They are one of the best-sounding wireless speakers out there (my friend owns one, and it has been a great companion during road trips), and updating them with Google Assistant makes them better. Pair that with a long-lasting battery and IPx7 certification, and the Link 10 and 20 portable smart speakers make a great companion on the go.

At home, on the other hand, the Link 300 home smart speaker boasts of a daisy chain feature, where you can link multiple units together at home and let them blast any music you like, at any location at your home. Ain’t that cool, especially during those parties ay your crib? We definitely love the thought of it!

The speakers will debut in the UK. The Link 10 and 20 will be priced at €170 and €200 (~Php11.2k and ~Php13.2k) respectively, while the Link 300 will be priced at €300 (~Php20k).
